Plumbing emergencies don’t wait for business hours, and neither do we. Plumbway Ltd provides 24/7 emergency plumbing services throughout Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Huntly, Ngaruawahia and the wider Waikato region. When you’re dealing with a burst pipe, major water leak, gas leak or sudden flooding, our team is ready to respond quickly to minimise damage to your property and get the situation under control. We aim for the fastest possible response times so you’re never left waiting when it matters most.

Our emergency plumbers are equipped and experienced to deal with a wide range of urgent situations. We regularly attend call-outs for burst or leaking pipes, overflowing toilets, blocked drains causing flooding, complete loss of hot water, gas leaks and damaged water mains connections. We also handle emergency tapware failures, leaking hot water cylinders and sewer line backups. No matter the issue, our certified plumbers and gasfitters carry the tools and parts needed to carry out most repairs on the spot, reducing the need for costly follow-up visits.
Whether it’s 2am on a Sunday or midday on a public holiday, Plumbway Ltd is available when you need us. We understand that plumbing emergencies cause stress, water damage and potential health risks if not dealt with promptly. That’s why we operate a genuine after-hours emergency service covering Hamilton and the surrounding Waikato area. Our team will talk you through immediate steps you can take over the phone, such as shutting off your mains water supply or gas valve, while we’re on our way to you.

Our after-hours emergency callouts are charged at our after-hours rate, which we'll always confirm with you before attending. We believe in transparent pricing — there are no hidden fees. We'll tell you the applicable rate upfront so you can make an informed decision, even in an emergency situation.
Being Hamilton-based, we aim for the fastest possible response times across the city. For urgent emergencies like burst pipes or gas leaks, we do our best to attend as quickly as possible. Response times to outer Waikato towns like Cambridge, Huntly or Te Awamutu will be slightly longer. Call us directly on 022 453 5783 for an honest estimate of our current availability.
For a burst pipe or major water leak: locate your mains water toby valve (usually near the front boundary) and turn it off to stop the flow. For a gas leak: do not use any switches or open flames, ventilate the area by opening windows, leave the building, and call us immediately. For a blocked drain causing flooding: avoid using any water outlets including toilets, sinks and showers until the blockage is cleared.
Burst or split water pipes, major water leaks causing flooding or structural damage, suspected gas leaks, complete loss of hot water in cold conditions, a sewage backup into your home, and blocked drains causing flooding all qualify as plumbing emergencies. If you're unsure, call us — we'd rather you ring to check than wait and allow damage to worsen.
Yes. Our licensed gasfitters are trained to respond to gas leak emergencies. If you smell gas, leave the property immediately, don't operate any switches or appliances, and call us on 022 453 5783. For serious gas emergencies you may also need to contact your gas supplier to isolate the supply at the meter.
